When To Fly The Flag of the United States of America

 

The Flag Code suggests displaying the Flag every day, but especially on holidays, including state holidays and during local celebrations.

The Flag should be displayed every day, but especially on:

New Year's Day - January 1   Independence Day - July 4
Inauguration Day - January 20   Labor Day - 1st Monday in September
Lincoln's Birthday - February 12   Constitution Day - September 17
Washington's Birthday - 3rd Monday in February   Columbus Day - 2nd Monday in October
Easter Sunday - variable dates   Navy Day - October 27
Mother's Day - 2nd Sunday in May   Veterans Day - November 11
Armed Forces Day - 3rd Saturday in May   Thanksgiving Day - 4th Thursday in November
Memorial Day (half staff until noon) - the last Monday in May   Christmas Day - December 25
Flag Day - June 14     WHAT ARE YOUR STATE HOLIDAYS?

And such other days as proclaimed by the President of the United States, birthdays of States (date of admission) and State Holidays
